Our eight individually designed rooms tell stories from Lapland – from quiet snow-covered forests to cultural elements of the Sámi heritage. There is a choice of six comfortable double rooms and two charming single rooms. All guests are invited to use the rustic sauna, freshen up in the shared bathrooms, and in the afternoon, relax in the comfortable chill-out space with tea and homemade cake.
Homemade Breakfast & Themed Menus in Lapland
Your host will prepare breakfast – with fragrant bread fresh from the oven, homemade jams, and seasonal ingredients. In the evening, you can book special themed menus:
Three Courses for the Arctic Circle: Finnish salmon soup, Karelian pasties with toppings and salad, lemon cream with cloudberries.
Alpine Glow of the Northern Lights: Swiss raclette with potatoes and various sides.
Arctic Oven Magic: Rainbow trout/salmon fillet with toppings, potatoes, and sour cream dip.
All dishes are created based on regional products and on authentic tastes.

Welcome to Jokimaja – your temporary home in Finnish Lapland. Where the river is frozen in winter, the Northern Lights illuminate the sky, and silence becomes tangible, you can enjoy a stay filled with warmth, hospitality and authentic experiences.
Our small, charming family-run guesthouse features only eight individually designed rooms – inspired by the seasons of the Sámi people. I am your chef: from a homemade breakfast with freshly baked bread to themed menus. Here you can taste Lapland – fresh, local, made with love.
